We are currently seeking a talented and hard-working IP Legal Secretary for our Washington, DC headquarters to provide support to assigned attorneys in our rapidly growing Intellectual Property practice group. This position will require attention to detail, great organizational skills and a strong customer service attitude. Overview of Responsibilities:
Resolve major issues involving external client service coordination, billing adjustments or special information needs over the telephone or in person.
Maintain logs and records of group activities and assist practice group leaders in the development of various data.
Maintain calendar of meetings, business trips and upcoming events.
Create and maintain filing systems and databases to ensure accurate and efficient retrieval of data.
Coordinate conferences, meetings, appointments and preparation of materials.
Required Experience:
A minimum of three to five years of experience working in the IP field, particularly in patent litigation.
High School Diploma or GED required. AA degree or equivalent specialized training.
Ten years of secretarial experience including seven years of legal secretarial experience.
Proven proficiency and familiarity with U.S. Patent and Trademark Office terminology, procedures and forms.
Skillful and proven competence in management of docket for patent and trademark actions.
Expert proficiency in the use of Windows 95 and MS Word97. Proficient knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
