A large prominent law firm seeks a paralegal to support the attorneys in their private equity fund group-this firm has a prominent investment management practice as well as excellent benefits and competitive salary.
The qualified candidate will possess at least 1-3 years or more of general corporate paralegal experience-investment management experience would be welcomed. In addition, a college degree and proficiency with the Excel software is required.
General responsibilities of the position include assisting the lawyers by researching legal precedent, investigating facts and preparing legal documents, maintaining document file and file pleadings with court clerk, gathering and analyzing research data, such as statutes, decisions and legal articles, codes and documents, calling upon witnesses to testify at hearing and coordinating law office activity, including delivery of subpoenas.

Growing patent prosecution practice in Northern Virginia has an opening for an experienced patent secretary/paralegal. Duties include docketing, document production (including transcription), and office administration. Although the majority of our practice is foreign originated prosection, we also have domenstic clients. Fluency in Korean is a plus, but not a requirement. We are assisting our client to staff a long-term temporary paralegal position that may possibly become a temp-to-perm position. This would be to work in the firm’s Northern VA facility. The ideal candidate will work through February 2008 with the possibility of converting to a permanent position thereafter.
