The position involves providing paralegal support to the firm’s attorneys in securing temporary work visas and permanent residence for corporate clients and their employees; coordinating with clients to obtain necessary information and/or documents to complete cases; researching immigration laws, procedures and regulations; preparing applications and petitions, including H-1B, L-1A, L-1B, J-1, E-1/2, B-1, PERM alien labor certifications, I-140 Immigrant Petitions, Adjustment of Status and Consular Processing; preparing attorney correspondence to USCIS, DOL and clients; preparing correspondence from corporate clients to USCIS and DOL in support of their cases; assembling cases for filing with USCIS and DOL; preparing responses to Requests for Evidence from USCIS; contacting government agencies to obtain case status and information; and preparing/maintaining client case status reports and tracking charts.
Ideal candidates will have 4-6 years of experience as a business immigration paralegal, coupled with an undergraduate degree, excellent communication and organizational skills, knowledge of PC applications, and the ability to work independently.

We are a small law firm that represents trade associations and aviation businesses. We’re looking for one or two people - we have a set of tasks that need to be accomplished and may hire more than one people to meet those needs (hence the variety of titles). Our firm is fairly laid back, but becomes fast-paced when deadlines and/or major events approach.
The ideal candidate must be sufficiently self-motivated to operate independently from time to time, detail-oriented and able to track and complete tasks that are assigned. We are looking for someone who can assist in preparing and setting up motions, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, and other court documents; maintaining litigation files; and proofreading documents. At times there may be light administrative work involved. The candidate should have extensive knowledge of MS Word and MS PowerPoint and working knowledge of litigation docketing dates.
